There was a devastating fire earlier this month at Cosgrove Hall, a grade II listed building near Milton Keynes. Fire crews from Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire battled to control the blaze but were unable to save the building. A fire such as this reminds us how much history is wrapped up in a building and how much a fire can therefore take away.
Fire safety is one thing but fire safety procedures are about protecting so much more than just safety. Whether you are materialistic or not you rely on the things that you acquire through your life to do the things that you do. Home is somewhere to feel safe from the world, where there is no need to take risks, and to lose that has a huge impact on you and your family, one that is hard to imagine. Your business is the foundation upon which your lifestyle is built and often the same for your employees and even your clients. A fire risks putting an immediate stop to all of that.
Fire safety is about reducing or removing the risk of anyone getting hurt in the event of a fire, but do not underestimate the other harm that fire can cause to you, those closest to you or the community:
We at Fire & Electrical are here to offer our expertise to protect all of these things on your business premises from the assessment of risk to the management of that protection. It is not just about legislation and meeting your legal responsibilities it is about guarding yourself against the very real risk of regret.
